βWhen mayors in other cities ask me how #Copenhagen afforded to invest in its cycling networks, I ask them how on earth they have been able to afford highway projects. We invested in bike lanes because that was the cheapest option.β
What the world can learn from Copenhagenβs cycling revolution.
Close to two-thirds of the cityβs residents commute by bike to school or work every day.

Finally first bill of the year from ever source I the negative. They keep increasing costs so even solar power offsetting usage is getting harder. It would be pretty great to have Massachusetts take over their own grid so we can start charging a honest price instead of profit for shareholders

was driving over in west roxbury down the main street. The bike lane just ends. 3 kids were biking then had to all of a sudden figure out what they were going to do when the bike lane ended...Ed Flynn - you seriously want kids to have to make that choice? Put bike lanes in. Cars ain't it man.
Turns out there was just some lever a mayor could pull labeled "Do Good Things Quickly" and we finally got someone who figured out how to pull it.
Over at the brewery complex this morning in #boston Jamaica plain. Cars inevitably just don't even care about one another let bicycles or pedestrians. Prime parking job by this person. Small lot here too.
Same issues here in Boston. Someone dies nothing happens. Some of our city councilors continue to stay get rid of bike lanes and add more parking instead. Expanding protected bike infrastructure should be front of minds. Heartbreaking this isn't a big deal.
Qcells is making solar cells in Georgia at what will soon be the largest solar cell factory in US history. Here's why that matters.
