This lemur at the Central Park Zoo was definitely the mood on a hot, humid day in NYC last week.
If you get a chance to see the Rocky Horror Show in NYC, absolutely do. Joyous, fun and wonderfully zany! deadline.com/2026/04/rock...
Wishing everyone a Happy Pride from Boston!
From time to time I'll answer questions over on Goodreads. This was from a fan wondering about the co-authoring process for the upcoming Camp Half-Blood series, so I thought I'd share it here.
The past few weeks, Annabelle Oh and I have been busily signing various special edition pre-orders for The Wild Zone, out September 29. For UK readers, one pre-order option is available at Waterstones: www.waterstones.com/book/from-th...
Just signed some of these incredible Camp Half-Blood maps in various colors, created by artist Victoria Allyn. Who gets the signed ones? TBD. But you'll get some version of the map printed into THE WILD ZONE in Puffin (UK) or Random House Children's (US) editions. The book is out Sept. 29!
Booksellers like to have exclusive editions just for their customers, and interest in CAMP HALF-BLOOD has been so high, I think THE WILD ZONE holds the record for number of different editions. Here are some that will be available in US/Canada. In UK, Waterstones will also have a special edition!
So excited to announce this! If you want to know what the series is about, I sat down for an interview with Percy Jackson to talk about it on my blog: rickriordan.com/2026/05/perc...
Today’s review is sci-fi: “How the heck did this author pack so many wild ideas into one book? An absolutely fascinating and riveting work of speculative fiction.” Full review:

Another great fantasy novel rec: “What happens to all those children in fantasy novels who come back from fantastic worlds — Lucy from the wardrobe, or Alice from the looking glass? Every Heart a Doorway takes that idea and runs with it.” Full review here: www.goodreads.com/review/show/...
