Labour vowed to set up GB Energy’s HQ in Aberdeen, where it would create up to 1000 jobs, and that it would save £350 on energy bills
22 months later and there’s no HQ, just 30 permanent staff (many of them based in London) and energy bills have just risen yet again
And now they’re spending millions of public money on basic stuff like ‘operational design’ instead of building expertise and capacity in-house
This is despite Labour previously pledging to halve government spending on consultancy!
