this is pretty easily my favorite part of the whole series so far i think arc 4 had its moments (the "behold an unthinkable present" scene fucked me up for a while) but they didn't have the emotional connection of 4 full seasons of tv built up to properly make it hurt yet
ik that all of life is Getting Into Situations but i am currently trying to dig up some shit under some truly ridiculous circumstances. i dont want to say more for personal reasons but it genuinely starts to stretch into "this feels like a movie" territory. what am i doing man
also this is a season 3 thing but liliana's mom is voiced by nana mizuki and i clocked that shit instantly. hi Tsubasa Kazanari what are you doing here
if you have to be part of a group of evil generals you need to become the guy who just likes fighting strong opponents because you have the highest likelihood of surviving even if you don't directly mutiny
caught up this current mini-arc is leveraging everything that made Parent and Child the best episode of the series to make a deeply upsetting midgame twist for this arc, it's VERY good did not think Hercule Poirot would become relevant but "murder becomes a habit" is such a strong theme to throw in
this whole monologue kills me but the frustration and sadness in these few lines are just. god.
thinking about Living Memory still bums me the fuck out and it's been 2 years
