You don't have to answer the door for the Feds. Do not voluntarily talk to the Feds. If they have a warrant signed by an actual judge, then they can do precisely what the warrant says.
But DO NOT TALK TO THE FEDS. Do not answer the door. If you're arrested, your only words are "I want a lawyer."
I don‘t know if it was dissent so much as „what evidence they have is being way over-interpreted in the way that they want this to go.“
Kind of how my European peeps feel about Eastern Europe. Everyone claims they know someone who went there on vaycay and had their car dismantled and taken off for parts, and had to fight their way home w a machete, or something. 😁

In fact, if you had asked me, a reasonably informed layperson and reader of European papers, my opinion back then, that is what I‘d have told you. My American friends otoh bought the maximalist WMD line hook, line and sinker.
To a point that is true. I was back and forth between Europe and the US at the time and the European Press was quite clear on „There is Nothing“ and the US Press was all raw raw raw so I think there was a big element of willful blindness in there somewhere, as well.
I think this is actually an excellent point.
As a German I degree that „don‘t run over pedestrians“ is a very reasonable internationally valid standard, and that bikers in European cities are nuts. (I cursed them on a regular basis as a college student). They don‘t even Stay in their bleeping bike lanes when they hunt for victims. 😵💫
I‘m sure (to some extent) he did. But I am equally sure that the bright minds on our (back then, your) intel side were not so incompetent as not to consider that. They wanted this war, found reasons that looked good enough on paper, and made the facts fit.
ICE observers in Minneapolis have begun receiving visits from FBI agents sent to intimidate them. A close friend-combat vet, mother, no criminal record-who was a volunteer observer during the ICE crisis, had a visit and was threatened for taking photos and videoed, claiming that filming was illegal.
