Coming down from the high of being at SGF, seeing friends, and meeting folks for the first time.
The biggest thing I’m walking away with is feeling connected to the industry for really the first time. Working from home and not meeting your clients or coworkers leaves you feeling like an island.
After getting laid off, that feeling compounded a lot. I felt like my time in games was just going to be a footnote of a footnote in the history of the space.
Meeting people, interacting with them, and watching then do the damn thing for multiple days in a row helped alleviate some of that feeling
Screaming and crying about One Piece Grand Gourmet.
So if we hung out at SGF, met for the first time, or talked shop, thank you! It was an amazing experience, and I hope to see y’all again next year.
Also I need to take more pictures next year.
And I just got an email for a job interview??? Everything's coming up me.
