I really hate how there are people who are older than 10 years old who still have to f****** learn this lesson they lived through the '80s the 70s the 60s maybe even the 50s and they still think proximity to power is safety it is not they just haven't put you in a concentration camp yet. FFS.

I think we all know the issues that Mindy kaling has and we've seen them played out in all of her productions that she's been in. She has a lot of internalized racism and internalized misogyny she has not worked out and she is trying to get by in a white man's world by sucking up a little too much.
And just like the office it realized that the offensive misogynistic nonsense without a heart constant UK office mentality was failing in America there was just enough original content to squeak by for another season. then they finally realized there has to be some good redeeming qualities. Shocking
With Chris Pratt? Absolutely not. That show got almost canceled a bunch of times because it was not funny and boring it was just an office clone with different people in it. And then third season comes around which they should be thanking their lucky stars they got, And they finally found the magic.
This is it exactly the UK 1 was so offensive/so miserable/so just seeingly hateful and with no redeeming qualities I could not watch more than 5 seconds of it. I barely made it through the first season of The office I tell people to start with season 2 bc they woke up and realized it was failing.

This is the thing that's driving me crazy is that the people who were on this show don't understand what made it good. I feel like the office lady's podcast actually gets it like when the show had more heart and yes the situational shock value humor was only part of the show. It's bc we're worn out.
