Met with my MP about the EHRC Code of Practice. Spoke about the impact it would have on me as a trans man, my access to toilets, sports & my Gender Recognition Certificate.
Overall, it was good, she was very supportive. But the atmosphere felt like we’d all accepted we’re fighting a losing battle.
I’m lucky to have an MP who gives far less of a shit about party line than many and so was happy to sign the EDM because it was the right thing to do. But I could definitely see she feels isolated on this and that she’ll do what she can but ultimately she’s not sure it’s enough.
For the next month, I’m in a film that’s at Outernet at Tottenham Court Road!

The big thing to do is to emphasise that this isn't a ordinary EDM but actually has an impact - it moves to a vote to block the guidance.
Many MP's refuse to sign EDM's as they're pointless - so you need to make it clear this isn't
