I always felt so sad for Naru in sailor moon, that at the start she’s Usagi’s best friend but as Usagi befriends the scouts she just kind of, vanishes into the background. It’s wishful thinking but the fact she got more attention in the anime makes me think maybe ikuhara felt bad for her too
