I'm looking forward to joining Brooklyn Public Library tonight for a key conversation on Climate Adaptation led by @npr.org's Rebecca Hersher www.bklynlibrary.org/calendar/cbh... For a quick snapshot of recent research & my book, North: The Future of Post-Climate America, see youtu.be/NytVlZeID6w
Last night I went to the last of the 3 part talks about climate change at the Center For Brooklyn History. This one was about solutions from people in law, government & science. The scientist is behind the pillar, but here is a pic of his new book. Thanks @bklynlibrary.bsky.social

The Weather Channel: J.M. Keenan talks Coastal Research & North: The Future of Post-Climate America
Been working my through this book, it is technical, but I didn't need my Masters in Environmental Studies to navigate the pages. As a corporate type with an expertise in risk, North makes a great case for planning and adaptation. Both Masters, @jessemkeenan.com are worth a follow.
I highly recommend North (2025), by climate adaptation expert @jessemkeenan.com of Tulane. It'd be an excellent textbook for a college-level course on climate change adaptation. It's quite technical, but the last 5% is a very readable and hopeful cli-fi section on a post-climate America in 2079.
