My grandpa went to the worst jail in the country after narrowly avoiding being massacred along 4000 other students in Tlatelolco during the 1968 social movement in Mexico. He still protested and fought all his life alongside thousands till the party regime fell at the turn of the century.
You're not who im talking about, Im talking about those who sit and do nothing but complain about how *uniquely rough* the US somehow has it as if these arent hardships *anyone* fighting for a better society under regimes all over the world dont have to contest with.
no yeah again that's fair, i just have an issue with the people making up some systemic excuse as to why the US is *uniquely* incapable of actual strikes/protests compared to every other country in the planet that's done it. Its insulting to us who live in countries that tried and succeeded.
