Epilogue: unlike suburban or rural households who get to leave their bins permanently out front, this is going to result in pensioners with bins in their living room because they won’t be physically able to drag them up and down multiple steps, through a house and back again.
All of this is because we have an austerity government that refuses to provide public waste removal services and won’t hire more city centre street cleaners.
So our family of four in 48sqm will be demonstrably worse off, because someone saw a seagull eating a chip once.
