Social media influence / power is yet another example of why positions along the lines of β€˜the UK should focus on its own problems first’ are just not good enough / miss the point.
Russia is openly waging a form of hybrid warfare against us and this is part of it.
Ideological currents which seem to have grown out of this site: - woke small-c conservatism - vanguard liberalism - palingenetic internationalism - girl-coded technocracy - cosmopolitan supremacy - anti-comfort stalwart progressivism
there were already many reasons to do this but Elon Musk actively encouraging racist violence in Belfast should be the final straw for every UK government institution to stop doing business - including being on X - with him in any way, and for him to be barred from entry to the country.
I personally think that someone who says β€œ[group]’s humanity being depicted in media inherently supports [ideology they don’t like]” should be considered a hateful bigot who wants to exterminate [group] because that’s obviously what’s going on
