Well, look at that. Planned "early" birth can be good for both mom and baby.
Love this quote -- "A common misconception is that by waiting longer, mum and baby are gaining more time, but often what you are doing is just delaying an inevitable emergency birth, when both may be in a worse condition"
My doctor saved my son's life with an emergency c-section in this same hospital.
For for this woman, they just left her -- just waited for her to almost die for 5 days, even though there was no way this baby was going to survive, before sending her out of state. This is horrific.
This story involves an Iowa tshirt company, a basketball star, a Boston Globe reporter, online trolls who piss on walls, a lot of toxic masculinity and a lot of insight into the state of men. www.rollingstone.com/culture/cult...
Importantly, study also found no increased risk of c-section.
I'm under-babied. My son Caleb was stillborn at term in 2017.
I'm far from the only one. Over 20K babies stillborn every year in the U.S. including 3500ish at term.
Other countries prioritize stillbirth prevention. The U.S. doesn't.
