I do wonder what emotions that would have engendered. As a born Protestant, now atheist I can't look past a begrudging sense of obligation or an outright sense of dread. I assume someone must have skipped merrily to church, even without a kids club and tea & biscuits as a bribe.
Really chuffed with how IGEM's new library space is coming along. I never thought all the time spent watching Interior Design Masters would come so much in handy. Just needs the artwork going up, some greenery, a few smaller shelving units in the middle and then some books!

Yeah my only reference points for someone attending derby churches in 18thC is people fighting over pews or fighting with the Vicar, William Hutton being bribed to attend as a child And there was a story of a St Peter's vicar making poor people fight over a coin he threw out the back door.
Where did the original track to London go after leaving birstall? Just straight on across the ring road or did they double back?
