The Conservative Party needs to realise sharpish that they face the same threat as Labour from an emboldened radical right.
Most people do not like rioting. It's also unsustainable to have police consistently outnumbered on the street by mobs. The government has to make a choice or the country will face a summer of disorder.
This is no more about the details of immigration policy than the progroms my great great grandparents fled were about Jews committing crimes.

Everyone on X and elsewhere who called for a violent response should be charged with incitement.
Everyone involved in the pogrom should be locked up with exemplary sentences.
Govt should make it clear that will be the response in future anywhere else.
