And congratulations to the honorable mentions:
* Bounce
* Dandelion
* Streamplace
* Leaflet
* Bonfire Network
at today's Open Social Award.
We know some of these are features people have wanted for a while, so we’re excited to finally roll these out.
Migrations are a core part of the open social web, and we want to make sure we simplify that process for you as much as possible 🫶

So honored that Bounce is on this list of amazing projects 🫶
And congrats to @newsmastfoundation.org, @sill.social, and @blackskyweb.xyz for winning awards today!! So very well deserved!
This is such a crucial milestone for the open social web.
Around here, we build Bridgy, not walls. And with this coalition of incredible organizations and individuals, we're going to break a whole lot more walls down together 🤝🏼💪🏼
"Unity is power" - @rude1.blacksky.team 🤝🏼💪🏼
We also want to recognize our five amazing honorable mentions: Bounce from @anew.social, @dandelion.events, @stream.place, @leaflet.pub, and Bonfire Networks.
These products all have something useful to offer, besides the fact that they’re running on decentralized protocols.
And, finally, if you're on the Fediverse and have bridged your profile, you can now rest easy if you migrate to another instance. We now listen for migrations, and re-map your Bridgy Fed account to the new profile!
No more losing bridged accounts after migrating!

Second, if you:
- Bounce and can no longer see unbridged profiles from your prior ecosystem in your feed
- You request someone use Bridgy Fed on the other side of the bridge
...we'll now send you a DM notification when they bridge.
No more losing connections over the bridge!

First, a credible exit from Bridgy Fed! You can now migrate your bridged accounts *out* of the bridge and turn them into native accounts.
Your accounts, your choice - you can keep them as two separate native accounts, migrate to another multi-protocol service like Wafrn, or...whatever you want!

Today, we're announcing THREE migration-focused updates!
We now support every kind of migration on all the networks Bridgy Fed supports (including web!): into Bridgy Fed, out of it, through it, and around it, all while keeping you connected with your people.
Let's dive in...
