@gretchensisson.bsky.social’s studies of relinquishing parents reveal that for many of them, $5000 would have allowed them to keep their children.
It’s so WEIRD how CPS will potentially take your kids if you’re struggling (unable to fully provide) but then put them in a home with another family and then give THEM money every month to take care of your kids ? Instead of just helping you provide.
