We are very fortunate that he shared so much of his history. Sadly he lost two daughters and an eye in the Halifax explosion.

It is National Indigenous History Month! Today we highlight Jerry Lonecloud (1854ā1930), a guide, lumberer, showman, herbalist, Micmac (Miākmaw) sub-chief, and folklorist. Ethnographer of the Micmac nation could rightly have been his epitaph.
