I did coastal studies in school & I've always been fascinated by why a beach is a particular type (sand, stone, particle size etc) - all influenced by the coastal geography.
TIL we don't find as much sea glass in QLD because the Great Barrier Reef is a giant breakwater.
There's a roller coaster of emotions when you travel for work. Excited anticipation, soaking up every minute, then such a comfort to be heading home. I wish I'd had more time this week but I'm thrilled with what I achieved. Now it's time to scratch my dogs tummy again.
