Discussing #chemoproteomics at #ASMS2026 with @lindsaykpino.com of @talusbio.bsky.social
I wanted to share some news: I'll be leaving the NCI at the end of August. I'm excited to share more about the lab's next step soon, but for this post wanted to focus on expressing gratitude for my colleagues, trainees, and friends at the NCI Center for Cancer Research.
A historical review of computational mass spectrometry by @maccoss.bsky.social at #ASMS2026, beginning with the mother of bioinformatics, Margaret Dayhoff. 🖥️🧬🧪👩🔬
Amazing talk and beautiful slides, @willfondrie.com -- hope your ML short course participants were paying attention!! 🐔
New work from @csneeze.bsky.social explored how common additives for thermal stability analyses affected protein-drug interaction hit calling.
We were surprised to see that buffer and method selection for lysates could recapitulate findings from in cell thermal stability assays!
GOOD MORNING! Starting the day off at the @sciex.bsky.social breakfast seminar. All you runners put me to shame on my walk over here, but I'll be making it out for a jog one of these days. Probably. Maybe.

Closing out the #ASMS2026 tutorial on computational mass spec with a nod to open source software across the community ❤️
Does anyone else think that young Klaus Biemann had kind if a David Bowie look #ASMS2026

Excited to share our latest preprint from us at the Schweppe Lab detailing detergent impacts to thermal stability with consequences for thermal profiling: DDM behaves quite differently from NP-40 when used as a component of a melting buffer!
