Don't miss tomorrow's #TheAtmosphereSessions w/ @julietshen.bsky.social of @roost.tools where I'm gonna ask Juliet some of the funniest questions you've ever heard AND get her to talk deploy about why she does the work she does in Trust & Safety. Comedy! Drama! Humans! Don't miss it! Tmrw @ 3PM PT!
@iame.li for sure for the technical chops
I’d pitch myself for the program management work. Technical enough to know what I don’t know, able to easily translate between engineering & product, very good at influencing without authority, and a highly compelling & accessible communicator.
GERM lol
also discovered the most ridiculous way I can spend $140 in a month on #atproto
@bad-example.com DMed you on gem - sending this in case you don’t get the message haha
I’d encourage you to read this piece and understand that “technical” has become “Technical,” and it may be that you’re reacting to my repudiation of the latter: www.fightforthehuman.com/why-i-cannot...
But once again, technical does mean something. It means “to do something with skill.” It means something *different* than what you’ve been taught, but that’s different that meaning nothing.
Are you telling me that there are people out there who have absolutely no skill in anything?
I appreciate that, friend. I really do. I understand your frustration; I don’t love the bad parts of Apple any more than you do, and I wish there was a truly ethical personal computer company anywhere on the damn earth bc id use them if they were half as good. 💜
