5 Swallows on eggs at local riding stables. All 2nd broods. One recently fledged chick rescued dangling from its nest caught in horsehair around its wing. Flew off strongly & instantly joined by others! A wonderful sight #birdringing #birdbanding
1st Ringlet of the year locally. After finding the 1st for the area only a few years ago they’re now the commonest butterfly !

1st seabird ringing trip of the year to Puffin Island. Seems the Razorbills are having a late season as many still on eggs or have very small chicks. This “jumplings” parents started early. It’ll be off in a few days!
