A fun experiment is comparing how everyday people talk about AI online versus how companies are talking about AI in press releases. Night and day difference. The majority position has always been at least slightly negative/skeptical toward AI, and now it's completely out of sync with the AI economy

Folks: Ben is awful — but he has tricked folks into making him matter more than he does. He is NOT a NYT reporter. He never wrote about trans issues for them. He has not freelanced for them at all since the Mamdani hit piece nearly a year ago. Even before that debacle, he wasn't writing a lot there.
