Allan Water otter 🦦
Check out this otter-ly delightful sighting from Charlotte while she surveyed the Allan Water on Tuesday - always great to see the variety of wildlife we have at home around the Forth catchment.
🌊 Liggat Syke NFM community event 🌊
Join us next Friday 29th of May at 6pm for a community event focusing on natural flood management options to support wildlife, reduce flood risk and improve water quality in the Liggat Syke. Come along to have your say on the options you want to see.
Thanks go to our wonderful volunteers from Callander Community Development Trust and Woodland Trust Scotland - who had to battle through some truly Scottish weather conditions to get the job done!
With thanks also to Forth Climate Forest for funding, and to the landowner for the support.
Next Wednesday some of the Forth Rivers Trust 'Stream Team' runners will dust off their running shoes to tackle the Dumyat Hill Race. Eli, Michiel & Charlotte will start at the University of Stirling, run 8km and undertake approx 380-440m of ascent… wish them luck!
🌳 Callandrade tree planting 🌳
Last week we completed tree planting work at Callandrade Meadows in parternship with Callander Community Development Trust. The 3.6ha site has been converted into a diverse mosaic of Willow and Alder woodland with areas of reedbeds and wet rush grassland.
The camaraderie of Trust team members & support from the wider public has been invaluable when previously tackling challenges like this - so if you would like to offer encouragement, please consider leaving a donation at forthriverstrust.org/donate/.
