We have protein crystals! Not just salt :)
These crystallographers in training are doing amazing! We got protein crystals. Lots of leads to optimize. And soon I'll have things to harvest, store, and ship the optimized crystals.

It's so rewarding to get to once again use and now pay forward the crystallography training and mentorship I received in Leemor Joshua-Tor's lab. And even more rewarding to see my students helping mentor others in the lab.

If only there were a froyo-type place for crystallization reagents - mix and match and try things out without having to buy entire containers of tons of things that might not even suite your protein's tastes...
