Leafy Sea Dragons live in temperate, coastal waters of southern and western Australia, ranging from Jurien Bay to Wilsons Promontory. They live in depths of 3 to 50 meters, hiding among kelp-covered rocky reefs, seagrass meadows, and sandy patches, perfectly camouflaging as floating seaweed.
