Eradication of Rats (and other invasive non-native predators of eggs and chicks) on islands can play a big role in seabird recovery. Ensuring they don't get there in the first place is essential too, and far cheaper. It places a big onus on island managers for whom sustaining funding is a challenge

Two out of the (only) three White-tailed Eagles fledged in England in 2025 have since 'disappeared in suspicious circumstances', i.e. people killed them within months. Read this, and see how much effort those people go to, to kill them. We all know who & why. Two out of three. Within months.
