Can’t sleep so I’m revisiting one of my favorites. Amazing cast (RIP River) and it has aged incredibly well for being a 34 year old movie.
Purple cabbage/red onion/yellow onion/jalapeño & tomato (all charred). One can purred chipotle, 1 lb red beans, 1 lb pork chorizo, coarse ground black pepper, cumin, chili powder, Mexican oregano & veg stock. 90 minutes in the pressure cooker. Perfect.
Super easy tonight. Bloody Mary marinated Costco chops and a spicy Thai chili ketchup for the tots.
Happy belated birthday to The Boz (this photo was taken in March 2020). We’d gone to Slim’s a few times over the years. Great, great club.
Tonight’s movie. You can say that most all of Stathan’s characters are all roughly the same. You can say that most all of his movies are formulaic. But you can’t say that they’re boring!
FB food memories: our daughter’s grad party last June. 4 meats, 2 different kinds of beans, flour & corn tortillas, all the toppings, etc etc. They shopped, prepped & cooked on site. Endless tacos for 4 hours: $750 (I gave them $1k)
She was just under a year old in this pic when we first took her to the beach. A whole week in Santa Cruz right on the beach. First night while we all were watching a movie, she used my crossed feet as a pillow. She was exhausted and happy 🐾❤️
FB food memories: my wife made chocolate chip peanut M&M cookies and Kit Kat/Butterfinger brownies
