In terms of marketing its probably also very strong.
For Gears, as they were consisering to go back to exclusive they probably just look at numbers of Gears Reloaded last years. Decision was possibly easier than we think.
Good question. Xbox probably see SoD3 as Multiplayer GaaS which would make sense in the strategy. Also SoD3 developement cost way more than expected. Depends on what was the status of the PS5 version dvlpment for these games when Asha came up. Way too early to jump to conclusion.
Video games developements take years and millions of investment. They re actively working on it and they probably know where it s going but take months/years to put everything in motion.
Its not complicated. Its just timing. Gears was probably planed for PS5 then scrapped. Halo got anmounced on PS5 already so remain. Switching strategy takes time. No mystery there.
