'Holywells Park, Ipswich', Thomas Gainsborough, c1750. John Cobbold bought the estate in 1812 and used the springs to make beer. Today a public park, a sign marks the spot where Gainsborough stood, though the foreground is now full of trees planted by the Cobbolds.
