it’s super tacky when folks are trying to excuse their studio’s use of AI by claiming it is “only JUST used for things like localization” 😤
localization is an art, i’ve seen how terrible it can be when a studio just plugs the game’s dialogue into something as simple as Google Translate.
… and so my folks just saw in their rear view mirror me making panicked faces & wiggling my Switch around as if jumping/dodging depended on it.
and the panting 😭 the cursing & the panting lmao.
they had to ask if i was OK.
the worst part is when they’re like “don’t worry, we modify the AI-generated concept art design portions when it’s too obviously lifted from other existing games!!” 🥲
meanwhile most of that AI database has been built by scraping past, current, & future Epic Games employees’ ArtStation portfolios.
AI could NEVER.
Hire real artisans, and you’ll get REAL art.
