Happy Father's Day!
Whether you were there from the beginning, you stepped up, and/or you raised your kids all by your lonesome, what matters is that you love them & you're there for them when it counted.
And to all the good Fathers who've passed, thank you for everything.
He did so despite being expressly forbidden by the British Raj and is quoted as having declared "You are no longer orphans. From now on you are Nawangarians, and I am Bapu, father of all Nawangarians, so Iโm your father as well.โ to the orphans upon their arrival.
It is a story of incredible kindness and humanity that moves me every time I read or hear of it. I am of neither Polish nor Indian heritage but I still wish to offer my profoundest respect to this great man who take many little ones into his home and heart. A great example of a father stepping up.

My favorite story of fatherhood I'd like to share with you all today is the story of Maharaja Digvijaysinhji Ranjitsinhji Jadeja aka the Good Maharaja. His kindness helped save 1000s of Polish orphans after they'd been released from Soviet prison camps.
