While it's nice to get close-ups of wildlife, sometimes the wide shot is better :) #mammals 🌿
A lovely moment with a very calm coyote I met in Riding Mountain National Park. He was pretty unconcerned about my presence on the road (in a vehicle). #mammals 🌿

This is the radar forecast for midnight in southern Manitoba. I may be sleeping in the bathtub tonight. #MBStorm
Current conditions as of 7:30 CDT. I'm in the quiet zone currently, but this is tracking towards me. #MBStorm
One of two bears I met while walking a boardwalk last week. I'd already scared off the first one, when this one appeared. I was nervous, but weirdly not scared as he/she started heading to the river. Then, they looked at me and stood my ground because I had nowhere to go. We parted ways safely. 🌿🐻🦊
Some views from my drive home from Winnipeg today. The Interlake got hammered by rain yesterday, especially in the Rockwood, Oak Hammock, Saint Andrews areas. Everything that is water in this photo should be fields. #MBStorm
Happy #InternationalLynxDay! I'm very lucky to live in Canadian lynx habitat. They are very elusive and their population ebbs and peaks with that of their main prey, snowshoe hare. I've only met one a few times and each moment is magical. #mammals. 🌿

Driving through Manitoba’s southern Interlake region. It was hit extremely hard last night with rain and thunderstorms. Just west of here got over 200 mm of precipitation so fields are flooded. I’m not sure if this cut is intentional or just a point of weakness. #MBStorm
