By far the main reason to use Apple Maps over Google Maps is the fact it's completely ads-free. Remove that difference and... Why would anyone use the less complete mapping app?

Toronto has a vast network of over 80km of streetcars moving a quarter million people every single day.
But they are slow. Really slow. But that's not an inevitability of life, and simple policy changes could speed them quite a bit!

You'd be surprised by the amount of things that "sounds illegal" but in fact isn't. Regulations are just not nearly as tight as they could be.
Many of the reasons for slowness have nothing to do with the train or rail hardware.
Disallowing car traffic on top of streetcar lanes, adding streetcar priority at intersections, and reducing transit stop bunching for example... Could also substantially increase their average rolling speeds.
