I think calling the removal of some letters a Berlin Wall moment should be a warning that you’re all too invested in this thing
I've done some embarrassing shit because of PTSD (not in years, I'm better now) like the time I hit the deck because someone dropped a milk carafe in a coffee shop and that's not something to be ashamed of but if you went off the rails because the computer said your dick is big, get real.
I think we should destigmatize mental illness or whatever but not for guys who went insane because the computer glazed them and now they think the computer is their wife.
We should definitely stigmatize that.
i know it's an opinion adjacent to a lot of annoying faux labor socialism and even more annoying performative provincialism, but i do really think a tremendous, systemic problem in our society is the massive number of people with no concept of the built world and how it actually works
This is barely apropos of this post, but I would like to say one of my best Christmas presents (maybe it was a birthday they're hard to keep track of when they're 3 days apart) was a 8 pound industrial supply jar of maraschino cherries for home shirley temples; also ~$28.
Did ICE mercenaries kidnap your neighbors this week?
If not, you can thank the demonstrators outside Delaney Hall Detention Center—and in the Twin Cities, Chicago, LA, and elsewhere—for keeping them busy.
The more boldly we resist them, the less harm they can do.

A massive whale graveyard in the Indian Ocean contains the remains of hundreds of extinct whales dating back more than five million years, along with recent carcasses that support hotspots of seafloor life.
I just heard legislative testimony that declared pornography “the #1 issue we face and its not even close”
Maybe they can battle it out on the White House lawn
We need to keep pointing this shit out bc headlines saying "theft suspect" read very different than "guy who shoplifted a bottle of 2 Buck Chuck" to a lot of people & shit just feeds into the fucking narrative that we just need more and more cops everywhere bc what if someone stole a thing?!?!
Fuck. I read the update that it was a former employee, who walked into the store & grabbed a bottle of wine before the store opened. The employees ran to the cops & the cops tackled the guy *in the middle of the street* or "a tussle ensued in the street"
Someone died over a fucking bottle of wine
