Fuck. I read the update that it was a former employee, who walked into the store & grabbed a bottle of wine before the store opened. The employees ran to the cops & the cops tackled the guy *in the middle of the street* or "a tussle ensued in the street"

Two officers were struck by a car Friday morning after pursuing a person suspected of stealing from a Nob Hill Trader Joe’s.
So apparently SF cops basically killed someone who shoplifted *from a grocery store* at a time WHEN PEOPLE CAN'T AFFORD FUCKING GROCERIES
They chased the person into the street, who was then hit by a car and killed.
The cops were also hit by the car but they fucking deserve it
