I really, really don't like wading in the "impact vs intent" discourse, but lemme say this:
When you disregard potential impacts of your intent when you act, you ought to be held accountable, especially when the outcome produces social harm (see: direct harm principle).
"Nobody should be left to die on the street" is not a hard position to take.
I didn't need to see that thread after we almost lost a Black woman last night. I really didn't.
