A very impressive looking male Ozyptila scabricula, collected as a sub adult a moth ago right at the edge of a friable cliff slip near Land's End. A pretty identical situation to where I had it with @graemelyons.bsky.social on the Lizard in April. @britishspiders.bsky.social

Ynys Wyllt visit yesterday produced some cracking spiders Arctosa leopardus and a Trochosa female which might be spinipalpis, but will probably just be terricola after 🔬. Only 1 previous spider record for site. @britishspiders.bsky.social @tylanberry.bsky.social @graemelyons.bsky.social

Species 8,559: Parna tenella, a small sawfly that creates leaf-mines/rolls in lime leaves, found during lunchbreak of yday's @nfbr.bsky.social conference in Birmingham. Guessed it was this, now keyed; black tegulae & all-yellow legs rule out P apicalis @graemelyons.bsky.social @josscarr.bsky.social
Does anyone have a photo of the Sussex Spotted Sandpiper/s I could use for a presentation please?
