MMOs are time consuming though, my real issue is probably just that i'm always busy and i'm not just like. home and able to focus on conversations very often, much less commit to playing a game consistently. plus the thing about MMOs is that you don't need a committed group, people can come and go

i've got this specific nostalgia for the time that i played FFXIV consistently with a group of friends. it was really cool hopping on after work and chatting in the guild channel we had. it felt nice coming in and seeing people randomly piping up in conversations, it felt like.. low stress

yeaaahh.. it's a little sad and i have a lot of nostalgia for it. but that being said, it feels like the times i've gotten closest with friends have been hanging out with them in person. there's so much that online can't replicate like smoking a joint on the porch together and talking about life
