2/2...I have a question: Using Ancestry's shared matches function, do people often find that the paternal ancestor they're hoping to find shows up as maternal and vice versa? When I look at a couple of my matches' trees, they offer the most plausible leads, despite seeming to be mat instead of pat!

Back from a lovely holiday, plus visits to friends and family. We got home yesterday evening and at nine o'clock this morning, the tree surgeon arrived to remove a dangerously damaged conifer and its twin. Never a dull moment!
