The Trump Admin is weaponizing govt resources in a dangerous and chilling escalation of attacks on nonprofits working to support and defend democracy.
We call on members of Congress & the public to speak out against efforts to chill dissent & avoid accountability.

But this admin doesn’t want fairness & equality. It wants inequality to persist even when it’s fixable. It also wants corporations to believe DOJ guidance is law. It isn’t. And corporations that follow it is risk costly legal liability. Equality in the workplace is nonnegotiable.
The sham congressional hearing on @SPLCenter is the latest attempt by the corrupt Trump admin to silence its critics and redirect attention from its own extremism. This is an abuse of taxpayer resources when Congress should be focused on oversight and improving Americans’ lives.

The California race is good practice for November. There will be manufactured allegations of fraud, attacks on mail-in voting (Trump’s personally preferred voting method), and myriad efforts to spoil the election. Voters must be discerning and patient.

A fair society avoids outcomes that unnecessarily harm one group more than another. That is what the legal theory of disparate impact does. It measures whether people are treated equally under a given policy and, if not, allows them to seek a fairer policy. 1/
