Video games are about far more than the studios and publishers people recognise. Modern games rely on highly skilled QA testers, localisation experts, audio engineers, community managers, player support teams and many more specialists whose work is often unseen.

I'm determined to keep singing the praises of Norfolk's game developers in Parliament. The UK's games industry is a world leading success story, and Norfolk should be right at the heart of that conversation.

South Norfolk innovation is changing lives. Great to welcome Paul and Max from local firm RD Research to Parliament. After their role in a major breakthrough in motor neurone disease research, we discussed AI, skills, the NHS & how we can help SMEs thrive. I'm keen that the conversation continues.

These are skilled, well paid jobs that generate exports and drive economic growth across the UK. If we want to remain globally competitive, policy must recognise and support the full games ecosystem, not just the names on the front of the box.

Absolutely agree. The problem with X doesn’t stop at nudification tools, child porn and AI slop, it’s the deliberate destruction of democracy and security in our country.

To all my colleagues still using X: is this not enough evidence that you must stop using it?

🎮 Norfolk has a gaming industry success story that deserves to be heard in Westminster. Today I joined industry leaders at Westminster Games Week to discuss how we better support one of the UK's fastest growing and most innovative sectors.

Norfolk has a fantastic story to tell. We are home to talented developers, creative businesses and passionate advocates helping to grow the sector. People like Robin Milton have worked tirelessly to champion Norfolk's games industry and showcase local talent.

This was a race riot. Families were driven from their homes. People were targeted because of who they are and where they come from. Words matter. Those who fuel hatred and division bear responsibility too. We have more in common than that which divides us.

X owner Elon Musk has reposted his Sept 2025 call that pre-emptive inter-ethnic violence (civil war) is necessary for 'self-defence "Elon Musk was always right "You either fight back, or you die."

There is a remarkable scale of the celebration, glorification and excited encouragement of violence on the X platform. It is probable that most of it is not incitement in law [though there will be examples that are] but the nature + pace of dissemination makes it a major national security risk
