One thing I like about 100 girlfriends despite its many flaws is the girls in the series are their own characters and and actually enjoy each other's company beyond just having the same bf.
Probably not a hot take, but looking past the male power fantasy and misogyny of Harem animes, the girls in the mc harem are rarely friends and never show interest in each other unless its to get the mc attention. Basically they props for the story and not real characters.
