On my way to Institut d'Astrophysique de Paris, to give a talk on discoveries of large scale structures, invited by Joe Silk. Just a recap of my talk at the #Oxlancs2026 conference. #Cosmology 🧪
Dr. Sally Ride became the first US woman in space 43 years ago today (18 June 1983). It's less known that in 1986-87 she drafted a blueprint for America's future in space and headed up the newly created Office of Exploration at NASA Headquarters. spaceflighthistory.blogspot.com/2015/09/the-...

The story of spaceflight told through missions and programs that did not happen - that is, the great majority of them.
