The analysis of longitudinal data requires thoughtful statistical modeling, and there are few better places for an anthropologist to gain experience with multilevel modeling, which translates both to academic and non-academic jobs afterward. Here's an example paper: link.springer.com/article/10.1...
The position begins with approximately one year of fieldwork in Nicaragua (it is beautiful there), followed by approximately two years in Leipzig (it is beautiful there, too) to analyze data and write up results.
The longitudinal research design draws inspiration from animal behaviorists, who pioneered the science of long-term research on stable populations, successively handing off data to rising generations of scholars. Many highly-regarded analyses and publications arise from this collaborative approach.

Are you from one of these states? Then we need your help to save American science! The Senate Appropriations Committee will be marking up the President's Budget Request for science on Wednesday. People have been saying the proposed cuts "decimated" US science, but that's wrong: they are apocalyptic
The study community of sedentary horticulturalists is undergoing a demographic transition (hormonal contraception is now available) and adapting to environmental circumscription from non-Indigenous homesteaders, which limits the spatial extent of foraging, farming, and gold panning activities.
