An inspiring week at the Consensis workshop has come to a close! We’ll pick up where we left off this fall. 🍂
The registration deadline for our fall workshop is at the end of the month. There's still time to apply: www.paleosynthesis.nat.fau.de/science-work...
I've been in Germany this past week meeting with old friends and making even more new while forging some strong long-term collaborations. Thanks @paleosynth.bsky.social for hosting the workshop!
Pachyostosis, the increase in volume of bones, has been documented in a myriad of tetrapods that secondarily adapted to the aquatic environment. However, this convergent trait has hitherto only been q...
It’s the third day of the CONSENSIS workshop, and the team is still in good spirits and making good progress. PaleoSynthesis postdoc Danijela Dimitrijevic and Pal research assistant Aldo Benites Palomino are greatly supporting. As a reward ^^, we’re having our traditional workshop dinner tonight!

I am about to leave on a trip to forge international collaborations and have been wondering how to discuss what is going on with my current and future foreign colleagues. This is good advice for anyone interested in the future of science in America.
It may look like my friend @marcehjones.bsky.social is holding a pint of lager in the thumbnail of the video below, but it is something much cooler! Definitely worth a watch.
