What. No. No no no. The whole POINT of the feud is that it is based on nothing legitimate; the families are "both alike in dignity" so there's no power differential. wtffffffffff
One of the great things about being an author with a big megaseries is it makes it a lot easier to spot the grift emails, because most of those are "I picked up [Book three of the second subseries] and I was blown away!" and no mention of, y'know, the rest of the series.
