I believe most criticisms started from genuine love of PSO2. But after 5 years, some seem more invested in proving NGS was a mistake. The continued existence of NGS undermines this deluded narrative since the rational fan understands that having Phantasy Star is better than no Phantasy Star at all.
Oh yeah that reminds me after further testing I was entirely mistaken about the Wired Lance weapon action in Loser but with caveats. Starting the WA from OTS mode severely limits vision so without Massive Hunter you basically risk losing a WA usage that's boosted by Avenger and Vane Mixture Type 2.
Combine with a bunch of PB gain crap and you can reasonably cycle it. Only issue as always is limits with PB cooldowns. But in content with Blast Signs? Lmfao
You know what? I see the vision now with Harrier Type 1 (super armor + Pinion build rate) alongside using Falcon Type 3 (chargeable; allows synergy with Celeste). It's not optimal but you can unironically start Pinion Blade maxxing if you wanted to
So it's usable... in the worst case scenario for the skill LOL
I want Phantasy Star to continue existing, and NGS is currently the vehicle through which that happens. I've criticized NGS plenty: I've talked about content droughts, questionable decisions, weak story pacing, and things I wish Sega would improve. So I'm very far from blind corporate loyalty.
I don't need NGS to be perfect. I just don't understand why those who claims to love PSO2 would cheer for the collapse of the thing currently keeping the franchise alive. It's even more delusional to think private servers will help. The players will naturally go to where everyone is and that's NGS.
The crazy thing is people who play and support NGS are doing more to preserve Base PSO2 than anyone still raving about NGS and hoping it collapses. Every AC purchase and login is indication that the franchise still has an audience, so Sega has reason to keep the servers up for all of our progress.
