Have the projected forward CPI levels declined so much as well or are the implied ZC rates drifting lower before the base effect on the initial fixings?
It’s a question about the behavioural change one wants to achieve. Pushing poor families who need to feed their kids out of the peak is harsh. But they can help by scheduling washing and having a sandwich day when supply is very tight. Acceptance will be higher when there is a clear benefit.
Ideally, we want people to load shift what they can and load shifting from their previous usage profile will create a benefit.
